Purpose

To give glory, honor and praise to God through music, singing and prayer. Ephesians 5:19-20 says that we should be, “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” This is the core purpose of the Worship Ministry.

Goals

Our primary goal is to unite each heart in Spirit and in truth and offer to Almighty God our congregational worship. We also seek to encourage each individual to live a life of continual worship, fully pleasing God in everything they do and sacrificing themselves to the work of God as Romans 12:1-2 states: “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” A third goal is to encourage and admonish the congregation to look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2) and teach them through music and prayer how to love God and one another more.
